    CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER & FOUNDER

    Born and raised in Onaway, Michigan, Tom has been a proud life member of the Onaway community. He has a clear vision for his company and his community and strives to grow both on a daily basis by supporting education, imposing quality and encouraging strong work ethic.

    Knowledge, experience, ongoing research and education assists him in forecasting trends in the manufacturing industry.

    Tom is a AWS Life Member, State Licensed Contractor, Mine Safety & Health Administration, (MSHA) certified, certified in multiple welding processes, National Commission of the Certification of Mobile Crane Operators (NCCCO) certified, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) certified, CPR and First Aid certified, with 40 years’ experience in the steel and fabrication industry.

  • Victor Ruppert

    VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS

    Victor (Vic) Ruppert has been with MIW since 1994. He serves as Vice President of Operations, overseeing project management, fabrication, purchasing and facilities.

    Vic has provided senior leadership in many areas of the company. He has superior skills in design, blue print reading, mathematics, scheduling, rigging and fabrication. He is often tasked with the management of multiple projects at a time. He is actively engaged in organizational management and is instrumental in developing lean work methods to improve efficiencies.

    Vic received his Associate of Applied Science degree in Drafting Technology from North Central Michigan College, Petoskey, Michigan. His community involvement includes coaching and assisting with area youth softball and soccer programs.

  • Kurt LaLonde

    PRODUCTION MANAGER

    Kurt LaLonde started with the company in 1994. As a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and Certified Welding Educator (CWE) A valuable part of the MIW team, Kurt manages production of fabricated projects. He is Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) certified with multiple certifications in various welding processes. Kurt is a Level II NDT Technician for Mt, PT, UT and Visual, is certified by the Transportation Security Administration (TWIC card holder), certified trainer for Telehandler, and certified CPR and First Aid by the American Red Cross.

    Kurt is instrumental in teaching and mentoring our junior employees. He supports the community as a volunteer Firefighter, and offers assistance at the area public school for various projects and programs.

  • Guy Post

    QUALITY MANAGER

    As the most senior employee at MIW, Guy Post has gained and shared a wealth of knowledge since his start in 1989. Guy serves as our Quality Manager.

    Guy is a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and a Certified Welding Educator (CWE), has a Level II NDT Certificate for Magnetic Particle (MT) and Penetrant Testing (PT), is Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) certified, along with National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) certified. Guy is proficient and multiply certified in various welding processes and very knowledgeable in the operations and maintenance of MIW equipment.

    He has been active in the community by participating in the Onaway Horse Club, attending community meetings, assisting with Community Fireworks Celebration and joining the MIW Adopt-a-Highway project.

  • Mike Mehan

    TALENT INVESTMENT MANAGER

    As our most credentialed team member, Mike Mehan started his career with MIW in 1991. His position with production is Talent Investment Manager.

    He is responsible for onboarding new hires to the production team and providing training for current employees. Mike is committed to continuous talent improvement. His distinctions include; Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), Certified Welding Educator (CWE), Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS), Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) supervisor certified , Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) certified with multiple certifications in various welding processes. He is a Level II NDT Technician for Mt, PT, UT and Visual, and certified in CPR and First Aid by the American Red Cross.

    Mike’s attention to detail and determination to provide highest quality product to the customer has set the bar in the industry.

  • David Kronberg

    PURCHASING MANAGER

    David is an experienced business administrator whose mission is to ensure best value outcomes for MIW and its customers. His strengths include an extensive network of service providers, industry experts and material suppliers. He is an ardent advocate for skilled labor and team building and committed to economic growth in Northern Michigan.

    Previous to joining the MIW team, David served as an engineering generalist in advanced manufacturing and R&D laboratories and has extensive business development and start-up experience. He has conducted application research for mining and energy extraction industry and land use planning for various customers.

  • Mike Mroz

    SALES & MARKETING MANAGER

    Joining the MIW team in 2016, Mike holds the position of Sales & Marketing Manager and is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships. Spending many years’ in the industrial products sector, he has an extensive background in sales, technical writing and electronic marketing. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Marketing from Wayne State University in Detroit.

    Mike’s goal is to work closely with our clients to ensure their satisfaction and drive corporate growth.

    Having spent much of his life in southeast Michigan, Mike and his wife Andrea decided to relocate permanently to northeast Michigan in 2016. He enjoys the outdoors and is an avid hiker, cyclist, camper and fisherman. He also serves as a mentor for high school FIRST Robotics teams and also as a judge at district, regional and championship events.

  • Gerald Ganske

    EXECUTIVE ACCOUNT MANAGER

    Geri Ganske has been an incredible asset to MIW since 1990. He serves as Executive Account Manager, combining his talents in sales, estimating and mentoring.

    His knowledge and skill has been instrumental in propelling MIW to be a global leader in steel fabrication. Geri has mentored and developed many of our colleagues and continues to be a guiding force in the progression of our team and the advances of the company.

    Geri has an Associate degree in Drafting & Design Technology from Alpena Community College, Alpena, Michigan, and that is backed by his 43 years involvement in all aspects of the steel fabrication industry.

  • Keri Sheer

    HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

    Keri is knowledgeable with Human Resource (HR) procedures, policies, orientation, benefits, and personnel records. She plays a dynamic role in the onboarding of new hires, as well as developing and implementing new policies and procedures to create efficiencies and blissful employees.

    She works comprehensively at the Manager level, to assist with evolving/updating job descriptions to ensure the employees duties and/or responsibilities are clearly defined. Her extensive organizational skills, allow her to effectively work with the Manager team to successfully implement, support, and encourage a career development framework to maintain long-term employees!

  • Danielle Chapman

    FINANCE MANAGER

    Danielle has a knack for tracking financial transactions such as banking and insurance activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, land transactions and corporate structuring work. With proficiencies in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, she is able to transform financial activity of the company into financial statements that are clear and comprehensible.

    Danielle’s experience in various departments at MIW, including Purchasing, Project Management, and Finance has broadened her knowledge to much of the administrative work flow. Her resourcefulness and her communication skills allow her to be a beneficial information hub for many departments within the company.

  • Jason Willis

    PROJECT MANAGER

    With over 20 years’ experience in engineering and project management, Jason administers projects though all facets of the MIW marketplace. Using his expertise in marine construction, he works closely with clients to ensure projects are executed in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

    Jason integrates all aspects of a project into a cohesive plan, ensuring flawless execution from pre-planning to delivery. He maintains flexibility, incorporating past experiences with current state-of-the art technologies to provide the utmost in quality.

  • Lee Fayssoux

    PROJECT MANAGER

    Lee is a hands-on, hardworking employee with management experience and a willingness to learn. He’s not afraid to take on tough tasks with tight deadlines. Being an enthusiastic player with a strong work ethic allows him advanced complex problem solving skills.

    As Project Manager with over 10 years of experience on large Commercial Projects, Lee works closely with clients in design and review of contract documents, helps identify and mitigate challenges that could arise throughout the project, and looks for areas to offer cost-effective solutions. He works with the MIW production team to ensure that important milestones, such as delivery and installation, are met successfully.
