American Institute of Steel Construction
The American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) is the leading entity for the steel industry. For more than 75 years, their certification has symbolized and represented companies who have the capability to provide customers with the organization, documentation, management and performance to meet or exceed their standards. Those holding ASIC certification must pass rigid quality and organizational tests every year to maintain their certificates. Moran Iron Works, Inc. is one of only five companies in the State of Michigan that currently maintains dual certification from AISC for the Structural Building Standard and Simple Bridge with a Paint Endorsement.
American Welding Society
Founded in 1919 to advance the science, technology and application of welding and related joining disciplines, AWS has established itself as the authority on welding education and practices in the U.S. and around the world. In its history, AWS has certified over 32,000 Welding Inspectors. 2,000 of those were in the U.S. Moran Iron Works is proud to have three Certified Welding Inspectors on its staff. We have several AWS Site Licenses and are proficient in the following processes:

National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators
The National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) is a non-profit organization that provides a thorough, independent assessment of knowledge and skills for safe crane operations. The NCCCO aims to enhance lifting equipment safety, reduce workplace risk, improve performance records, stimulate training, and give due recognition to the professionals who work in, with, and around cranes.
The NCCCO administers certification programs for operators of mobile cranes, tower cranes, and overhead cranes. Operators are required to maintain and pass physical requirements, as well as written and practical examinations.
Moran Iron Works, Inc. has six qualified and certified Mobile Crane Operators.
